#Microsoft held its big #Windows10 event unveiling many features, that it will work on PCs, laptops, tablets, phones, IoT devices and the #Xbox One, plus the all-important fact that for the first year it would be a free update for Windows 7 and 8.1 users.

The company showed off the new #Continuum features, improved design of the OS and how Cortana would be integrated into the OS. T...

Universal has released the first trailer for the Minions Movie that shows a bit of the history of the yellow characters and is a prequel to Despicable Me. The trailer is funny and if its any indication of the film then the film looks great.

Banana!

The #MinionsMovie comes out next summer and I'm already looking forwar...

Much has been made of Microsoft’s recent hardware event with a number of updated devices and the surprise that is the #Surface Book announcement. But, aside from the devices there was one other key take away from the event, the enthusiasm and high levels of sass from some of the presenters. With phrases such as “you can be productive like a boss” being used during the demo of Continuum on the #Lum...

After reading that the long rumoured and much hoped for #OneDrive powered locker service for #XboxMusic is getting closer (http://www.windowscentral.com/new-details-about-microsoft-xbox-music-locker?utm_source=wpc&utm_medium=twitter) I decided to investigate its existence myself.

When viewing the songs in your collection you'll notice an empty space on the right hand side of the list; in Window...

For a few of Microsoft’s bigger events over the past year I have created Bingo/Drinking Games containing word and phrases likely, and in some cases very unlikely, to be said during the keynotes. They have been fun to create and even more fun to play, well the drinking variation anyway, and so I thought I would create another one for #Build 2016.

However, I thought I would improve what I have done...

Apple’s event only had 1 real surprise, an endorsement from the company that Microsoft’s software, hardware and productivity strategies are working. In the months and weeks leading up to the event much of what #Apple announced had already been leaked so the new #iPadPro, incremental update to the #iPhone and reinvention of the Apple TV were expected. What I, and many others, didn’t expect was just...

Loving the designs of the t-shirts #Microsoft handed out at #MWC15 I thought I would recreate it as a desktop wallpaper. As you can see I have created two versions, one for a PC and one for a phone. I hope you like them.

You can download both from #OneDrive - http://1drv.ms/1x9aCuG

Over the past few weeks there have been a couple of things that have made me wonder if Microsoft is dropping the Windows Phone brand and question it's future. I think we will have just Windows as the one experience for everything in our lives.

Since first showing off and surprising the world with #HoloLens in January one of the most commonly asked questions about the device is when will it be out. Up until today the phrase given in answer by #Microsoft has always been "within the Windows 10 timeframe", a vague answer considering #Windows10 is the last version of the OS.

Another most asked question has been about the device's field o...

The issue of “Brexit” is complex with both sides presenting many, and often divisive, reasons to remain or leave. The 52% of the British population that voted for “leave” last week did so for a number of reasons. For sovereignty, democracy and economy. For freedom, control and the future. For £350 million pounds a week to go to the NHS, Article 50 and border controls. For bigotry, racism and xenop...

With all the excitement around tomorrow's big #Microsoft event I thought I would put together another drinking game full of the phrases that are both likely and unlikely.

Hopefully we'll all make it through ok! You can find the drinking game on OneDrive - http://1drv.ms/1QURmeD

I will be live tweeting (and maybe drinking) the event tomorrow via @MichaelGillett and will most likely be providi...
