A few weeks ago, after a number of significant announcements from #Microsoft, I asked the question “what’s left for Build?” Tomorrow we will find out.

Since posing that question a few rumours have surfaced that could lead us to get very excited tomorrow, such things as exploding Live Tiles and a greatly expanded level of integration between Cortana, users and apps. There’s even indications today ...

For a few of Microsoft’s bigger events over the past year I have created Bingo/Drinking Games containing word and phrases likely, and in some cases very unlikely, to be said during the keynotes. They have been fun to create and even more fun to play, well the drinking variation anyway, and so I thought I would create another one for #Build 2016.

However, I thought I would improve what I have done...

This week has proven to fairly momentous for #Microsoft after the company finally started rolling out #Windows10 Mobile, offered new Insider builds for both PC and mobiles offering #Edge Extensions and #Twitter even released their new Mobile app.

All these new updates and releases are great and are some of the most requested and asked about things for Microsoft. I don’t know when a day last went ...

#Microsoft held its big #Windows10 event unveiling many features, that it will work on PCs, laptops, tablets, phones, IoT devices and the #Xbox One, plus the all-important fact that for the first year it would be a free update for Windows 7 and 8.1 users.

The company showed off the new #Continuum features, improved design of the OS and how Cortana would be integrated into the OS. T...

Before #Build2015 started I wanted one thing from it, a reason why anyone should buy into the #Microsoft ecosystem. In short, I could buy an iPhone, have access to more access to more apps than with Windows and still use all of Microsoft’s services. Why then would I buy a Microsoft product? You can read more about why I wanted this here - http://www.piptell.com/Home/Pip/4358

Why would I buy a Mi

I have probably used the same positive adjectives every year following Build's day 1 keynote such as "amazing", "exciting" and "fantastic". However, for 2015's keynote I am using words such as "surprising", "shocking" and "stunning". The twist is I am not using these adjectives as negatives but as massive positives.

It was surprising that #Microsoft announced Visual Studio Code, bringing a fami...

Later today Microsoft will be kicking off its #Build2015 conference with its first keynote. It's sure to be a packed event with lots of information and first looks at #Windows10, #HoloLens and much more. There's also likely to be a large number of terms and phrases in there too and so, as with the January 21st Windows 10 event I have made a bingo game so we can all play along.

You can check out...

Tomorrow, #Microsoft will kick off its biggest and most important conference of 2015, #Build. It's the biggest conference because Microsoft won't have a larger collection of developers, a fuller schedule of sessions or more important news all year. It's the most important because Microsoft will be showing the world why they are still important to consumers, outlining how with #Windows10 they've le...

Yesterday Microsoft's #OneDrive team announced a number of new features aimed at improving the photo experience on the cloud storage service. You can read about the improvements here - http://www.piptell.com/Home/Pip/4308

This morning I have had some time to play around with some of the new features and what has impressed me most is the automatic tagging feature. OneDrive will now analyse all y...

Yesterday I wrote about what we can expect #Microsoft to announce next Wednesday at the #Windows10 media briefing and so today I thought I would share some wilder thoughts on what Microsoft could announce.

Universal Apps

Over the past few years Microsoft has put a lot of work into making it easier for devs to create a single app that can run on phones, tablet...

With Windows at a threshold Microsoft today announced Windows 10.

Today at #Build Microsoft announced #Cortana, its much rumoured personal assistant technology, that will arrive on Windows Phone 8.1 in the coming months. There's a lot Cortana can do...
